FRAUD ALERT

There have been cases reported to NCUA (National Credit Union Administration, a U.S. Government Agency) that perpetrators are sending e-mails to Credit Union members and the general public stating that the "National Credit Union Administration temporarily suspended your account due to fraud attempts". The e-mail goes on to state "to reactivate your account call the toll free number" provided.

NCUA does not ask credit union members or the general public for such information. Anyone who receives an e-mail that purports to be from NCUA and asks for account information should consider it to be a fraudulent attmept to obtain their personal caccount data for an illegal purpose and should not follow the instructions in the e-mail.

Don't Be a Victim! There have been numerous email fraud attempts that appear to be from the NCUA (National Credit Union Association), and CUNA (Credit Union National Association). NCUA and CUNA do not ask credit union members for personal information. If you responded to such an email and provided any confidential account information, please notify your credit union immediatley.

There have also been fraudulent e-mail attempts sent from Card Services for Credit Unions (CSCU). This asks you to take a brief survey and asks for personal information. Please be advised that CSCU does not communicate with cardholders directly. All communication is through Baker FCU.
